What Puts America a Step Ahead?

When I finished college, I was in a transitional time; looking for a job. A buddy of mine had also finished college and we had another buddy going to school in Europe for the summer so we decided to meet each other and travel through Europe. One very scenic part of Europe is the Swiss Apps. The beauty of this world is truly inspiring but it’s the unseen qualities in people that make a place truly special. Take inspiration from this video link: Free by Zac Brown Band.

If you take a map and connect the dots to three of the most famous landmarks in America, it forms a positive symbol; reminding us to keep a positive outlook for the future. The first dot is the symbol of Seattle and is known as the Space Needle. This famous landmark could also symbolize faith because it was built upon a firm foundation that can withstand high winds and earthquakes. Faith builds on the past but is futuristic. The second landmark is found in New York City. The Statue of Liberty has always been a symbol of hope for immigrants as they enter a new life in a new land

The third dot is the Golden Gate Bridge located in San Francisco. It’s built with cables that support the structure. One cable can’t do much by itself but when many are joined together, there is great strength. A bridge is used by many Christians to demonstrate God’s love to us by providing His son as the way to cross over into eternity. Now connect the dots and what have we formed? We’ve formed a check mark; a positive symbol to symbolize a positive nation.

Remember the checkmark as a positive symbol in times of difficulty. Our nation is going through difficulty right now but we can be thankful for what we do have and that’s freedom. We can be thankful for our founding fathers who risk their own lives when signing the Declaration of Independence. We can be thankful for all that have served and continue to serve in our military. We still have freedom and that’s worth more than money can buy. We can also be thankful for the people of this nation who plant seeds of faith, hope, and love yielding fruit that nourishes others. Their unseen qualities light the fireworks of excellence which sets our nation a step ahead.

Have a happy 4th of July!
