Spiritual Communion

Photo from Google Images

Notice the affection of bride and groom;
Apparent throughout the room;
Happiness one can foresee;
Delight to the highest degree.

Handsome is he she points out;
Future delights no doubt.
Like fruit from a tree,
All I want and just for me.

Sweet perfume increases desire;
His Strong build lights a fire;
Flowers and luscious fruit;
What’s next there’s no dispute.

Spiritual communion gives strength;
Keeping His plan within arm’s length;
Devoted to all that Christ teaches;
Delight like fresh peaches.

Live each day with a passion;
Delighting in the Lord in this same fashion;
Staying focused on a spiritual bond;
Knowing great things will be spawned.

Dream of the possibilities;
Taking on responsibilities;
Making Christ known to others;
Let’s go my sisters and brothers.

About Mark Shields

Mark works in the Information Systems Department for an Insurance Company. He volunteers as a member of the media ministry team at his church and runs the 10:50 worship service computer. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. You’re invited to join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.
