Seek Him

Desire spiritual union with Him
each day at a special location
to discuss the future, plan,
and receive inspiration.

Begin each day with Him
so the soul is nourished.
Seek Him throughout the day
So the soul begins to flourish.

Like tender grapes appearing
in the new season,
fruit in faith grows
to glorify Him with reason.

The relationship endures
due to a commitment and desire;
to serve one another;
and reach higher and higher.

There is a passion
for building a life together
as one feeds off
the strengths of the other.

Weaknesses are diluted
by the strength of the other;
learning and growing;
just following a big brother.

A path to life with enthusiasm,
passion, and peace of mind.
Thinking of peaceful memories
and learning to unwind.

Each day is a new beginning
because our best friend did bleed.
He always pulls for us
and understands our need.

Giving a life of excitement,
adventure, and always victorious;
our best friend is Jesus
the One most glorious.

About Mark Shields

Mark works in the Information Systems Department for an Insurance Company. He volunteers as a member of the media ministry team at his church and runs the 10:50 worship service computer. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. You’re invited to join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.
