Look forward to the happiness
beyond the darkness.
Some will ridicule our belief
But their day will be brief.
They will doubt the second coming,
be very unbecoming.
Make light of sin,
mock us to our chagrin.
Look forward to the happiness;
God intervenes with kindness.
Things start to improve
when it is Him we choose.
Practice faith and be prepared.
Bad habits will be snared,
good habits repeated,
day in and day out completed.
Look forward to the happiness
beyond this craziness;
disasters, wars, and cultural decay;
God’s way will win the day.
Practice the ways of the Lord;
Continue to stay on guard;
the day of the Lord
we look toward.

Wow, this is really beautiful. Would you mind checking out some of my poems and telling me your comments? I need an expert eye.
I’m glad you liked the poem Charlotte. Yes, I would love to read some of your poems. I wouldn’t consider myself an expert though. Just a person that loves to write and share about God’s love for us.
Thank you so much! You can leave a comment in the comments of “Poems,” or just on any poem, with any critique or comment you have.
I love this entire poem from stem to stern; but the alliteration in line 4 of verse 5 makes my poetical geeky-ness tingle with glee! Nice work on the topic and execution as well.
Thanks Chris. If God is for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31
Thank God that Jesus Christ is returning in power and glory. God bless you:)
