Time to Play Ball

Many young people across America have been practicing for weeks now and will begin playing what is called American football this weekend. As in all things, there are some good and some bad but in the poem and video below, I would like to point out the good which includes building discipline, teamwork, and hard work.

Summer is history
The world a mystery
Boys of fall
Time to play ball

You demonstrate discipline
Let the whole world listen
Life is not trouble free
Just the way it will be

Your practice is repetitive
You are so competitive
A champion deep down inside
Your community has pride

Let us learn from your teamwork
Stop going berserk
Every person is essential
For us to meet our potential

Summer is history
The world a mystery
Boys of fall
Time to play ball
