The Promise

God encourages through
The power of His Word
And His Word gives a vision
Which to you is transferred.

This vision helps make decisions
So take up bravery
For God is your shield
To lead you to victory.

Be where God
Wants you to be
And with the people
He wants you to see.

Take the vision He gives
And fulfill the promise.
Hold onto the promise
And be not a doubting Thomas.

God will make a way
For the promise to be fulfilled.
He plows the path before you
So the hard ground is tilled.

Have confidence in the future
And courageously step ahead.
For God is always with you
And in you His power is imbed.

About Mark Shields

Mark volunteers as a member of the media ministry team at his church. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. Each of the studies are designed to help apply our faith in the work place, at school, or at home. Join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.

This day with God, be encouraged because He is with you. Use the unlimited power He gives as written in this poem.
