What’s Important

A wonderful life will result
When through prayer we consult
And have the discipline
To seek, ask and listen.

Prayerfully seeking God’s direction;
Learning lessons through reflection;
Planning out the future with vision;
Beginning each day with a mission.

Focusing not on short term desires
But on long term significance requires
Knowing what the priorities are
And setting out to reach for the stars.

Spending time with Him to pray
Before taking on the challenges of a day.
Knowing hope can never be taken away;
And His power will be put on display.

Learning from experiences;
Researching for references;
Seeking thoughts that are upbeat;
Sharing with others in a tweet.

    Reblogged this on This Day With God and commented:

    In Genesis 25, Esau was talked out of his birthright because he only looked at what he wanted in the short term. We must be able to make decisions based not only what we want now but also in the future.
    This poem is about setting priorities and planning out our daily activities. Have a great weekend my friends!

    Nicely written.
