Honest Abe’s Birthday

Born into poverty,
The best ever
Some have stated.

Facing challenges
With great patience
Through the toughest times
Being gracious.

Keeping justice rolling
And building steam
As righteousness like
An ever-flowing stream.

With integrity
To repair what is broken
To set things right
Being outspoken.

About equal rights,
Liberty for all,
Seeing it through,
Standing tall.
