Eyes on the Prize

A poem inspired by the book of John 7 Through 8

Read the Word of God
To gather information,
Reflect, and pray
For direction.

Follow the One
Who sees great promise
In everyone
Even a doubting Thomas.

Once accepted,
Stress begins to cease
As living water
Provides inner peace.

As we are guided 
In every decision
And step ahead
Towards the vision.

Following the Light
With joy in our soul
And guided along the path
To the greatest goal.

Finding freedom in Christ
By leaving the dark behind
And stepping ahead
With a plan in mind

Setting our eyes
On winning the prize,
We look up high
And let the Spirit advise.
